Dammit.

Ok so I've learned the whole solo (and most of the actual song) except the fast part.

I play in drop d and not drop d half a step down like the song is played in. Not that big of a change so I just accomodate a little bit and I'm fine.

BUT THE FAST PART AT THE END OF THE SOLO IS ****ING KILLING ME.

I cannot figure that out for my life.

I've read most of the tabs on the site and idk when I try to play it sounds crappily.

If ANYONE would like to give me a helping hand in figuring this out it would be much appreciated.

start slow
like really slow until you know it, then start raising the tempo

Which solo are you talking about? and time perception could effect the sound, Guitar Pro software ftw.

you need to practice the part you cant get slower first with a metronome, then work your way up to the actual tempo.

damn.
why dont people practice like that? is it really that hard to use a metronome and play in time?
#7
The problem isn't speed.

The problem is even with tabs it doesn't sound right.

But yeah I think I might have to use audacity.

Wrong tuning or a bad tab, lol. That's the only reasonable way to explain it.

You can make that in a day. Give blowjobs in your school bathroom for 10 bucks.

That's how I paid the downpayment on my car.

Yeah probably get a metronome.

But idk I feel a strong sense of lacking skill if I improvise too much. I need to know I am ABLE to do it and not improvising because I can't do it. SOOoooooo. I'd rather kill myself trying than improvise because my improvisations usually suck anyway.

Oh no man.

I got the sweeping part down like a clown...and that sounded really gay...

But anyway. I'M having trouble with the alternate/tremolo picking part at the very end of the solo.

fast picking is easy. just get your hand right next to the string, tense it up to the point that its shaking on its own, and go wild. but don't hold it for too lon, or you wint be able to stop (kidding) (or am I?)

Touche.

BUT. Idk but when I pick really fast I always have this problem where my pick "gets stuck" in between the strings. Idk how to explain it.

get a real thick pick or a jazz III(best pick ever). if you use a thin pick that will happen a lot
#17
slow the solo down and when you get comfortable with it raise the tempo a bit more. after you have done that for a while you should have it!

I know you want to learn this, but if I may ask...

Why do you have to learn it note-for-note?

I agree with this fine gentleman...

I always like to learn stuff note for note first.

THEN if I come up with something really awesome I'll implement that into whatever I've learned.

Idk. I somehow feel I need to know I can do it the way it was written before I can do things in a different way.
