Yeah, I need to make a list of the 20 (in my opinion) most influential people in the world before the year 1500 A.D.
So far I have:

Muhammad - Founder of Islam; conquered Arabia and converted it almost entirely to Islam
Jesus Christ - Founded Christianity; believed to be a prophet by Jews and the son of God by Christians
Confucius - Chinese philosopher who influenced Asian thought and life and founded Confucianism
Christopher Columbus - Discovered the Americas
Genghis Khan - Founder and emperor of Mongolia, and conquered most of Asia
Alexander the Great - Military leader who conquered almost all of the world before he died
Homer - Poet and writer famous for writing the Iliad and the Odyssey
Julius Caesar - Military leader who turned the Roman republic into the Roman empire
Gautama Buddha - founded Buddhism
Plato - Philosopher who helped set the foundations for western philosophy and founded the Academy in Athens, for higher thinking
Leonardo da Vinci - Inventor, writer, musician, artist, scientist, engineer, and mathematician who influenced a ton of people through his renaissance works
Lao Tzu - founded Taoism
Hernando Cortez - Conquered Mexico for Spain and destroyed almost all of the Aztecs' culture
Ts'ai Lun - invented paper, causing indirect communication to be possible
Aristotle - Famous philosopher who invented a system of moral philosophy
Constantine the Great - Caused tolerance of religion to form in Europe
Hannibal - Considered one of the greatest military tacticians of all time
Hammurabi - First set of laws

Anyone know any more? Please help... I need this done by tomorrow.

Thanks guys, I'm done! Thanks a million to everyone that helped. And thanks for that John McCain joke, really cracked me up !

I edited my list so that it is now what I have on my paper. Thanks a million!

Replace Plato with Socrates, says I.
California sunlight, sweet Calcutta rain, Honolulu star-bright, the song remains the same.

Casting quarters into wells that hold our dreams.

Believe in the freedom of music.

With our love, we could save the world.

oh, you know it was.

Chuck Norris is honestly no match for Pterodactyls.

I just don't think he's funny anymore. Like 3 or 4 years ago, I laughed my head off at that site, but now, it's well overdone.

Add Dao De Jing to the list.
