Heey,

I have a problem.
I played a bongo a couple of weeks ago, and what I noticed is that between the strings there isn't great tonel difference. On my bass when I switch a string it sounds MUCH higher (yes I may have used the wrong terms but you know what I mean).

Is there anyone I can reduce this?

tonal, higher, less bassey I mean.

If you play an octave higher it sounds more like two

bongo?
that's a percussion instrument

No, it's a bass.

TS, it may be there's something wrong with your pickups. Are the pole pieces adjustable?

haha

musicman bongo?

^ I have no Idea what your talking about
my problem is that I have put too much time playing the damn thing,
that I don't even know how it works :P:

edit: I don't own a bongo, just to get that straight is it something that happens to cheaper basses or something (mine was 450 euro's)

I know what you mean, it is very hard to explain. Kind of like you dont get consistant bass response across the four strings?

have you tried using some heavier gauge strings?? Heavier gauges have more bassier overtones compared to lighter gauges which have more high overtones... i think i have worded that right....
