Hi, my friend said his cable needing fixing, so i told him i would take a look at it(assuming it was just a minor soldering problem.) But, the soldering's fine, but the place on the end plug where you solder the ground wire is, sort of, dislocated. Like, it's in there, but you can twist the end of the plug and everything will move except for the ground part.... Does anyone know how to fix this?

Well, i know that... but i'm just wondering if THIS is fixable. If it's not, i'll just give it back to him and tell him he needs a new end.

No generally when the cable end is spinning like that its broke. A new end can be gotten at radio shack for about 2 bucks.

In general, you don't even need to solder on the plug depending on the type. Most can be done on the fly as they use screws or even just wrap around a lug to keep them in place. They can be had cheap at hardware stores too.
