Ok, well I have been playing guitar for about a year now and so far my only acoustic is a Dean V-coustic. I consider myself a little more than a beginner so, I have decided to expand my guitar "vocabulary" and advance my finger picking. To do this I will start learning some classical as well as some latin guitar such as flamenco. Now, my question is will a nylon or an acoustic suit me more? I have a price range of about 300 - 600 $. I would prefer to stay around the lower end. Also I would prefer an acoustic over nylon, but if I can get better quality/ playability out of a nylon guitar then that would be my choice. Thanks in advanced!

Go nylon string and perhaps come back to steel string later on. You'll never regret it.
