I'm practicing legato runs right now with a Tone Zone, if in the future i switched out to a more shred oriented pickup like say, I dunno SD JB's, Evo's or the Dimarzio D-Sonic would their higher power be easier to do the legato runs on once I get the hand of legato down on my Tone Zone?

Because I know my Tone Zone is like an Alnico pickup so basically if switching to a more powerful ceramic would make a difference.

Legato is a technique. It is not something made 'easier' by using different equipment. A hotter pickup can make the legato more audible, but not make it sound better.

You can't get much more shred-oriented than the Tone Zone to be honest - if you're struggling with legato runs then either your technique is at fault, your guitar is set up badly or your EQing is poor. The pickup is most definitely nothing to do with it.

I'll have to put the Classic T models on my to-try list. Shame the finish options there are Anachronism Gold, Nuclear Waste and Aged Clown, because in principle the plaintop is right up my alley.

Presumably because the CCF (Combined Corksniffing Forces) of MLP and Gibson forums would rise up against them, plunging the land into war.
