Right now I've got an Ibanez S470DXQM and a Peavey 6505 212 combo. However, I don't listen to or play very much metal these days, I'm more into indie, folk, and ska. So I'm thinking of selling my rig right now and using the money to buy a new setup.

I'm going to try to get about $700 for the amp (only about 6 months old, bought it new) and $400 for the guitar, so by the end I'll have (hopefully) $900-$1100 to spend.

I'm looking to get a small tube amp, hopefully 30 watts or under because there's no oppurtunity for me to EVER crank 60 watts, with cleans being the most important factor and a good fuzz being secondary. High gain is next to uneccesary.

DO NOT SUGGEST:
-Solid state
-Large amps
-High gain amps

For a guitar, I'm hoping for something Fender-ish because my friend's telecaster makes me cream my pants five times over. I want a hardtail guitar, semi-hollow or single coil solid-body, that can handle up to very dirty rock, like the White Stripes or Nirvana. Preferably, I'd love it to have a maple neck, but it's not a must.

DO NOT SUGGEST:
-Metal/hard rock guitars
-Guitars with any type of tremolo
-Solid-bodies with humbuckers

My favorite bands are Sublime, Arrogant Sons of Bitches/Bomb the Music Industry, the Raconteurs, Catch 22, Against Me, and Death Cab for Cutie.

TL;DR version: I need an indie/ska/rock amp and guitar for around $1000 altogether.

well... youll save a few hundred by just getting a solid state amp . You wont need a tube amp if your just playing by yourself..

i suggest the vox valvetronix

and for a guitar... a strat or a telecaster will do just fine

I explicitly said I don't want a solid state amp. First of all, I do gig, second, I hate the tone of solid state amps with a passion.

The point of the DO NOT SUGGEST things was so you would not suggest them. Go re-read my post.

thats a good semi hollow guitar with p90 single coils. Only $600 too

I actually found that amp on Craigslist for $300, but it's 50 watts, a bit too big. Besides, I'm not too fond of Peavey speakers, I've tried out a few of their amps and they all seem kind of stale (Except my 6505, but it's not my style anymore). I will look into the Casino, though.

If you rejected the Vox and like the Superchamp you need some schoolin' boy.

But I love the superchamp and It is extremely versatile.

Oh and may I suggest any member of the PRS SE series for you?

Yeah, but they only come with humbuckers, right?

I'd suggest a Tele and whatever Fender amp that fits your fancy.

If I remember correctly Chris Walla uses a Tele a lot...

BTW, I <3 Death Cab. They rox.

EDIT: Walla uses a Fender Tremolux too, if I remember correctly...

Get a 72 thinline tele or highway one tele and a used fender blues jr

telecaster and a Fender Hot Rod maybe?

I know you said you don't want solid state amps, but the Roland JC120 is one of the best clean amps ever and takes most pedals nicely. I've seen them go for around $500 used

fender deville? hot rod deville? or something like that, its a 4X10, no clue how many watts though.

Look for a used Vox AC30, and a Telecaster.

I never said I liked the superchamp, I asked about it. I've played a PRS SE too, I don't like it that much. Very meh, like my Ibanez.

Right now I'm looking into the blues junior like alot of you said. I'm probably gonna go down to a store sometime soon and try out a few Fender amps, as for a guitar I'm definitely leaning towards a used MIJ tele.

If you do plan on selling the 6505, PM me about it, I was looking to buy one and if I can save almost $400 buying from you, I gladly will.
