I am going to be feeding the headphone output from my amp directly into the microphone port on my computer.

I'm using a SoundMax Digital Audio.

Can I have my volume up on my amp with no worries of damaging my soundcard?

I don't it could actually damage your soundcard, but if you put the volume too high on your amp its just gonna scrap your tone and distort your signal

not sure. someone told me it's bad :S
but who knows.

Yeah, that's what I thought. I don't need perfect quality, I just want to be able to make quick recordings to see my progress and such. So, as long as nothing is being damaged, I'm fine.

Could I get some more talent in the monitors, please?
