I want to get a les paul and i was looking at Les Pauls both form Epiphone and Gibson and found these two in my price range

and

http://www.guitarcenter.com/Epiphone-Les-Paul-Standard-Plain-Top-Electric-Guitar-103812863-i1149387.gc

right now i'm leaning towards the Epiphone and if you know of any better Les Pauls around 400-500 then i'd like to see that too.

Get the Epi...I didn't even click the links, but I'd be wary of any gibson for that low.

Life is too short to worry about this crap.

Who.

Don't worry about the name on the headstock, that epiphone is better than the gibson.

Plus that Gibson is Ugly...

A Melody Maker isn't the same as an LP.

EDIT: I know a kid that has an Epi LP, and it's pretty baller.

Wow... Agile's look different then what I saw... I looked on their website and I saw one that basically looked like an epiphone special... But then I saw this one http://www.rondomusic.com/al-3000rootbeer.html

As long as the thread starter can order online
(Does agile ship to Canada?)
EDIT: I think it was This one

I own a Samick LS-450 (I believe), and it's great. It's from the mid/late nineties, and are no longer made, but you can find them on ebay for about 200-500. The stock PUs are okay, but I put a Dimarzio Virtual PAF in the neck, and an old Gibson T-top hum in the bridge and it sound great. Weighs a ton as it has the maple/mahogany thing going. I got mine at a pawn shop for 200 and invested another 200ish for the upgrades (switch, bell knobs, PUs). Just a thought...

get the epi... those melody makers are really iffy with me... epiphone les pauls are decent guitars for what you pay for them, but i would reccommend the les paul custom if your getting an epiphone
2008 M.I.A. HSS Strat
Marshall JCM 900 50w Dual Reverb

so a high end epiphone is better than a low end gibson right? Okay so i'll so that i guess, although i could wait longer and saveup more money to get a Gibson Les Paul Studio, do you think it is worth the time? And that would be waiting until January or Febuary 2009?

If you want the Studio, you can get it, I personally like it, but you might like an Epi better. It just depends.
Lets jump in a pool
