or you could do "the crusade" by trivium i know theres a good bass line section/solo n that song and the drums are pretty prominent and the guitar work is amazing and fun to do if you figure it out

Seriously, it takes a while to get sync'd up, but there's no better feeling then coming up with a cool, fun, origional jam that all of you had a part in creating.

When I'm getting ready for practice, I like to listen to Traffic for inspiration. Check out "Low Spark of High Heeled Boys" and "Rock and Roll Stew (pt. 1 and 2)". You can improv on some of those riffs for days and sill have a ton to discover (IMHO).

Do covers of music you guys all agree on, but don't be afraid to take a cool riff wether it's origional or not and just noodle around with it as a collective. Who cares about mistakes, that's what practice is for. Come up with a sound and a vibe that's unique to all of you. It gets the creative energy going and you feed off eachother. It's an awesome feeling.
