So I just posted a blog on my myspace hoping to reach out to some friends in Arizona who I guess you could call "emotional", all they ever do is talk about their feelings and all that crap. Guys and girls alike. Just wondering how many people would agree with what I wrote and their thoughts and opinions?

P.S. I realize my last sentence was hypocritical, don't be a smartass. And this does not apply to those who are going through a tragic time in their life, like losing a loved one or something like that. This is just for people who over complicate everything.

" I've just realized something...

People think WAY too much. Hence why there are so many sad faces all around Arizona. All the drama, relationship problems ( which to me aren't really problems at all at this point ), and all their "views" on life about what "path" they should take and all that jazz. It's not worth it guys, let it go. I was once like you, always over-thinking things.

I've stopped thinking. Literally. Everything I do I act within a 4 second thought now, and at times it might be a dumb thing to do, but I don't think I've ever been happier with life. The only time I was happier than this I think was in elementary, but then again, elementary ruled, and we were kids, ever hear of a sad 9 year old?. Pokemans and football and water gun/balloon fights and slip n' slides with friends all DAY LONG. Haha, how could you be sad with that?.

Point is, let it go. All those thoughts and pointless conversations about how you "feel" with eachother. Why would you want to be sad all the time when you could be having the time of your life? . Go out and do something fun! "

And that's it.

EDIT: I think UG is the only place I actually over-think things, but that would be because I usually get into debates with people and...well you know how that goes.

My life consists of:

1. School
2. School
3. School
4. Work
5. Work
6. Work
7. Girl

So I don't get to do much fun things. I'm pretty happy with my life though.

My God thank you. I do the same crap (thinking like a kid) and it's really fun. I mean I'm like I could die right now and I would be the happiest person in Heaven (or wherever pit monkeys go).

Well, ignorance is bliss, you're right about that.
But without sadness, happiness wouldn't be nearly as special.
But I totally agree that most people are too unnecessarily sad.
I think a lot of them just subconsciously want to have problems because its more interesting.
Its like when you're going out with someone and she creates unnecessary bullshit to feel bad about because they get bored of not having something to complain about.

They are kids trying to be adults, before they are ready. They are probably just looking for attention. And if you mean emotional as in emo.... while self explainatory. Gone through that phase, I look back realize how dumb I was. But at least now I know.

i quite agree with you, im one of those types of people who over thinks and it does really over complicate everything and bring you down, i hope i can do what you do and just act on impulse instead of over thinking, anyway i agree with your points

I sometimes over think, but often I just say screw it, and go with impulse.

It just makes life alot more exciting. Sure, there usually ends up being consequences, but whatever, nothing can be that bad.

I have disorders, so MY life consists of:

You're very right, but it's all very obivous, you didn't really invent the wheel here. Only thing I would like to add is that, if you think like a child, you'll end up writing Sum 41 songs. If you're sad all the time, you'll end up writing hardcore metal songs. Thus, I'd rather be sad.

Not everyone strictly writes rock music.

And some metal can be very happy.

And that's it.

I disagree. I think Deathcore is the most fun music I've ever heard. Bands like Whitechapel make such awesome dynamics in their songs that I would've never thought of and it just makes me all jumpy and makes me want to headbang. Which I consider a form of happiness.

No, I'm saying it's better to not over-think. Even though I act on impulse, I still think the very important things through.

So you pretty much formed an opinion about a subject without thinking it through? Nice one

Seriously for gods sake, what kind of idiot wouldnt think? i agree that sex and relationship problems and all that isnt worth the time, but philospopical mysteries-why, thats what being a human is all about

It's not about not thinking, it's about not OVER-thinking. And if I remember correctly, we didn't need philosophy to be happy when we were kids. We were very simple, and honestly, I prefer simple happiness to seek a "path of enlightenment". Why go through all the trouble?

I guess that C.S. Lewis describes it brilliantly when he says that through the action of contemplating the feeling of Joy we are actually leaving ourselves closed to Joy for Joy does not come through the seeking of Joy but it comes when we aren't thinking about Joy and are leaving ourselves open to Joy.

I admit that I do over think many things and it would be more successful to sometimes just take a chance. It's one thing that I've been criticised for many times by friends. I'm not an emo though but just a critical thinker who, although Christian, still holds onto the pessimistic outlook of his earlier athiestic days.

I DO act like a child and I love it. every time I scroll back in my chair, pretending that i'm being sucked into a vortex, mouthing "NOOOOOOOO" as I flail my arms pretending to grab onto something in slow motion.

You're welcome.

I hope to have kids someday for the sole purpose of playing with Lego with them.

Weird how I wanna do the same thing, and when I'm done back to their closets they go, and when i'm not home, THEY DON'T GET TO TOUCH THE ****IN' LEGO, they play with black puzzles when I'm out. ****in' kids always losing the pieces. I remember when my brother was about 5-6, I used to play with him, he has lost so many pieces.
