'ello all, I had some free time today so I decided to record a song I've been playing lately called "Girl in the War" by Josh Ritter. I'm not the best singer, but I tried. I also added a little improv solo. Tell me what you think! The song is in my profile.

i think you got no replies (until now) because you and i are probably the only people on this forum who've ever heard of josh ritter. you did a good job on this, your vocals were on key but lacked feeling- i have that problem too, so i cant give much advice on overcoming it. guitar work and backing tracks were good. the solo was a little weak at first but cleans itself up after that. i'd work on doing something different at the very beginning of the solo. All in all this was a really good cover, nice work.

musically, you did a great job. i love this song, btw. vocally, you were in tune, but i almost feel like you were simply talking to the beat. you sounded disconnected and without feeling, and from a performance standpoint, that's not a good thing. try to sing it as opposed to talking it. as i said the music is great... just belt it out a bit.
