I finally found out why I have been so ill today.

Over the last year I've been really ill, suffering diabetic-type swings in blood sugar, weak muscles and loads of pulled muscles, being really tired and also putting on weight.

So the doctor has made a semi-official diagnosis of Cushing's Syndrome which has all these things as symptoms.

So hopefully I will either have meds to take or some form of treatment and I will be able to get on with life and bassplaying.

YAY!

What the hell is a 'semi-official diagnosis?'

Well hopefully you can take the meds, get back to mastering the bass, then see the light and move to the awesomness of the guitar.

Basically he's giving me basic treatment for Cushing's until they get detailed phlebotomy results back from the lab.

At the mo I'm on a basic hormone tablet. When I get the results it will be decided what more powerful meds I need and whether I need pituitary surgery.

This is not going to happen.....!

Although if someone taught me rhythm guitar then....

You put your mind to it, you can accomplish anything cliche'd but it does work

So I, with a broomstick(Just in case) walk right where they can see me and I said:

"You kids ever taken a broom up the ass?"

The look on their face was priceless, and they ran, and I mean ran like a bat out of hell.

Make sure you change your eating habits and exercise if you can.

I'm on a strict diet at the moment....and I'm hitting the gym nearly every day as well.

Sorry
I never get a chance to do those. I just wanted to see what it was like.

How long/short term is this then?

Depends.....if I need medication on its own, then anywhere up to a year before being 'cured'

If it's as a result of a benign tumour (which a lot of Cushing's cases are) then I will need surgery, along with meds and possibly even radiotherapy. Which could take up to three years to recover from.

if you want i could teach you rhythm guitar. but to be honest its quite easy
