Ive got an Ibanez S470DXQM tuned to Drop C. I want a heavier sound with lots of clarity and tighter low end. I was looking at the Dimarzio Tone Zone and D-activator. Any suggestions?

Also, I would consider active pickups but Im to poor to buy a full set of pickups and I know you can't mix actives with passives.

Definitely the D Sonic.

And put the blade towards the bridge, it gives it a much clearer and articulate tone even on extreme drop tunings

Hmm, that one also caught my eye. Found some pretty cool vids of people and their D-sonics they sound really beefy yet clear.

I have never been happier with a pickup until I got my D-Sonic in my RG.

I'm always in D standard and it sounds totally great with the D-sonic, all the registers are clear and punchy they can catch all the little nuances of your picking. Harmonics really jump too.

Thanks, upon looking at videos of people playing with D-sonics I have chosen to go with it.
