Hey, I own a Jackson performer, (PS-2 I think, shaped like dinky) and although I know it isn't particularly old, I'd like to put a year on it, (not literally). The serial number is: 9649986 on the neck plate. Checked the jackson site but no luck.

Thanks guys

~Louis

Also am I right in thinking that the guitar isn't made any more as I cant find one anywere, does anyone know what it's worth?

Go with Ibanez...Or if you're going high-end, get a Jackson.

You can't really date those from the serial. 7 digit and a 9 though means it's one of the first, MIJ ones, which came out around 1995 or so.

Thanks a lot guys, so they're not made anymore?

EDIT: just found this as well.

The Performer tag is denoted on Jackson models produced in the early 90's in overseas factories (primarily Korea). - Wikipedia

Get a boner and slap your school doctor in the face with your penis.

It'll be funny.

Also, to avoid another thread, how does the Pro Dinky measure up to the performer in terms of quality and playability?
