okay i am saving up for a guitar and amp but i cant decide which I'm gonna get first a guitar or amp i plan to spend about 300 on each my guitar and amp

me and my brother share the amp he has a RG2EX1 I'm leaving towards a new guitar but I'm not sure so what i am asking what do you guys think i should get first

Seriously, new amp first. Maybe try and save a bit more money as well? 300 wont get you much, either way (assuming we're talking USD?)

Get a new amp. For sure.

You can deal with that guitar for a while.


Guitars don't affect your tone nearly as much as amps do.

Let me suggest this.

ya i agree maybe spend a little less on your amp and more on your guitar, you get a better quality amp for less money than a guitar

EDIT:Im just wondering how loud is it cause its only 3-5 watts and also how much does it weigh cause i switch between my parents houses everyweek

3-5 watts is plenty, cuz I'm assuming you're a bedroom rocker. I guarantee it can get as loud as your current amp, and sound sooooo much better doing it.

idk man i'd say its always nice having a nice guitar before an amp. I'd think i'd buy the guitar first. Its easy to find a nice amp, but to find the right guitar for yourself isn't as easy. So i'd say if you find a guitar you like and have the money for to buy that one first. You can always by some kind of amp.
