My dad went to college with the guy who started the first Amoeba Music. They almost went into business together. The guy who started Amoeba started another shop first that turned into Amoeba in the 90s. Last year he, the guy, made 25 million.

We used to have Strangeland Records around here. It sold ONLY Punk, Metal, Industrial, and Electronic, and all their sub-genres. They shut down last spring.

I have an awesome local record shop that sells old punk and indie vinyls about 10 minutes away.

Musicor, a local in my town that's about 10 mins drive from where I live. It stocks loads of old rock and alternative stuff, so I'm happy. Plus, since I'm a regular customer they ignore it if I'm a few dollars short on a particular day.
