Some that I've recently enjoyed are...

Maus
American Splendor
Ghost World (or anything by Daniel Clowes)
Watchmen
Jimmy Corrigan: The Smartest Kid on Earth
Batman: The Dark Knight Returns/Year One/The Killing Joke

or even comic strips like Calvin and Hobbes.

go!

Oh, you've already read Watchmen. That was my first thought. Well, anyway, the Ultimate Spider-man and Ultimate X-Men books are quite good from what I've seen, particularly Spider-man. That's pretty much all I got.

EDIT: A friend of mine is reading Marvel Civil War and said that was good.
I play by my own rules. And I have one rule; There are no rules... but if there are, they're there to be broken. Even this one.

Confused? Good.

V for Vendetta, It's really the only comic book I've ever actually enjoyed.

Punisher comics. Earlier ones have more action. Later ones have better storylines (IMO)

V for Vendetta was pretty good.

I read a wolverine graphic novel which wasnt too bad.

Ultimate X-men was pretty shamefull and had a pretty mindless plot (I hate to say it, but I read up to number 70 without being forced )

And would comic book-like games count? Like Monkeys Island?

The Ultimate X-Men comic book series is great. You should have a read of that.

Any of the Hellboy series.
Spider-Man... Maximum Carnage!
Bat-Man... The Cult.
Marvel Comics... Marvels (this one is highly recommended)
Superman... The Death of Superman, World Without a Superman, Return of Superman trilogy followed by Superman/Doomsday Hunter/Prey

And any of the 'Elseworlds' graphic novels where they take well known characters and put them in a completely different setting, such as Bat-Man as a vampire, or a victorian detective, or with Superman's powers, but with the same dark, vigilante mindset.

You've obviously not read a great manga.

No, I've read enough of it, I just found it very boring after a few volumes. I mean everything is practically the same in every single different series.

Would you accept manga suggestions?

I have, but I grew out of it.

I read:

Akira
Domu
Battle Royale
Samurai Deeper
One Piece
Death Note

Then realised I was reading them "because the were Japanese" and I wanted to be cool.

Batman Hush or Marvel Civil War
I have recreated a Mattocaster with Kaoss Pad built into the body. If you would be interested in having this mod done to your guitar, let me know!

What the hell is cool about that? It makes you seem a complete nerd to the general public >_>

It's anti-cool.

You know what I mean, it's the same thing you see with scene and emo and that.

It's a reaction to current "cool" to get attention and tell everyone how different you are.

Is the Marvel Comic Civil War series worth reading?

Cuz I am not a huge reader of graphic novels myself, but my interest in Marvel Comics keeps spiking with all the recent superhero movies coming out (Iron Man, Incredible Hulk, Wolverine, etc.)
