So, I still live with my parents, cos im quite young.
and i just bought my cort last month, £219 it costs.
Mum and dad say "Your not allowed another guitar for 2/3 years"
Im like "AHHHH!!!!"
So, i think i will just mod up my cort, pickups, paint job, accsessories etc.

Ive attached pictures, please take some looks.

Suggestions welcome - please.

Tim.

Why not save your cash for a decent amp?

+1

I like Corts and yours looks quite nice, it'd be a shame to paint such a nice looking guitar. I think you'd really appreciate the difference in tone from a new amp (an it's not a guitar )

how long have you been playing? You really shouldn't be worried if you can't buy a new guitar in only 8 months.

If i got a guitar with the idea in 8 months I was going to replace it, I would have probably just saved more

yea, I'd imagine hes saying 2 to 3 years. If I didn't build guitars I don't know what I'd do, I get bored very fast of mine. That guitar looks fine, I wouldn't do any intense modding

219 euros=320 US dollars btw

Yeah 2 to 3 years, yeah thanks guys, its a good guitar, but i was thinking, could i get my name in a graphic on it?
If so, how?
Ive being playing for 5 years.
The amp idea is also very good, i was thinking maybe a marshall.

^Well, it depends on your budget. I wouldn't buy a Marshall MG.

Oh right, my friend has a marshall MG50DFX, i just went around and played on it.
Why do you say that?

cause once u really start to break in an MG, u realise its s***. save up for an all-tube marshall. or even a valvestate. just not an MG.

Even the Valvestates are bad.

s***. a marshall would be good for u.....ummmm ur best bet is probably to go into a music store and try out a bunch of tube amps and see what suits ur style best and is still in ur price range....cause the all tube marshalls are expensive!

Why do you say that?

They're just not good. IMO, that MG wouldn't be much of an upgrade from your Orange Crush. And the bigger ones are just wastes of money.

There are better amps, if you want that Marshall tone.

I would make your next upgrade for amps a worthwhile one, one that would last you until you got into a small garage band. So aim for about 60 solid state watts, or 30 tube watts.

The Crate V33's are going for very cheap right now. You may want to jump on that.
A Vox AD50VT might also be a good choice, if you want to go solid state.

Get a Mesa 100w Dual Rectifier head w/ a 4x12 rectifier slant cab

Now THAT has crushing overdrive

agreed to the amp idea.

check out some local pawn shops, they can have hidden gems for fractions of market prices.

for the guitar, the ONLY mod i'd do to that is take off the Cort logo, just because i was never a huge fan of the font.

looks like a decently made guitar, and afaik it's decent quality. amp it.

my suggestions if you want to upgrade your guitar:
locking tuners or high ratio tuners, new (bone) nut, possibly new pickups to suit your tastes/wiring to match, new bridge.

my suggestions if you want to upgrade your amp:
keep researching amps, picking brains, and listening to sound clips.

Do you know how i could take the cort logo off?
And maybe get my name there, that would be pretty cool. XD
