I'm trying to write a a solo in the scale of G pentatonic major. I'm struggling abit those goes together. How did you guys make your first solo?

Poorly. Then after writing a couple bad guitar solos you start writing good ones.

I do believe you just used Blink 182 and hard rock in the same sentence. It would seem you're rather confused.
I have a quote in my signature! And it makes fun of blink-182! I'm cool now!

Run the scale up and down Zakk Wylde-style.
Barry White is cooler than you

I really wish I could say you're funny and cool, but that would be like saying Africa doesn't have a poverty problem.

improvise--writing out a solo is lame, plus you learn what sounds better and develop your own style

Take some notes from the scale and mess around with them, make a lick, then add some more notes and the you're going to get the idea of making solos.

I started improvising in the key of G too actually, hit a couple of hooks and then ran a link to the G box an octave higher.
