is there any other great guitarist like B.B king or Early John Frusciante which made simple/slow but perfect solos... can anyone think of more people like this? i just love "the thrill is gone" and "scar tissue" type solos.

Yes, yes I can

you've just won the international union of sarcasm's "most useful post of the month" award for august 2008. congratulations.

I think he wanted examples of simple but effective guitarists.

I can think of Joe Walsh, i think he's the only one i can post about without getting flamed by angry people who hate power chords. Most of his stuff is very simple pentatonic scale work, or tuned to open G which he said was "a good tuning to make it easy to get some nice melodic chords if you're not very good at guitar"
I like analogue Solid State amps that make no effort to be "tube-like", and I'm proud of it...

...A little too proud, to be honest.

The only one I can think of is Mike Campbell from Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers.

Yeah.

It's not just his solos either, think of the intro to Shine On You Crazy Diamond - when has a guitarist ever said so much with just four notes?

Enjoy occasionally controversial ramblings related to guitars? I have a blog which meets these criteria.

Graham Coxon.

I've been really enjoying his stuff lately, although some of the solo's are a bit out there considering he's an indie guitarist.

David Gilmour for sure. Try the intro to Breathe, Shine on You Crazy Diamond, the opening solo in Wish You Were Here and check out the solo's in Echoes. So much in so little, though it seems that way. His bends and slides and timing make it difficult to sound exact, it looks simple but you gotta get your timing down right thats all.

I feel bad looking at porn simply because of the ol' story that a lot of those girls were molested as children, But I've never heard of midgets being molested, so it doesn't matter to me anymore, as that's the only kind of porn I watch.
