i am buying a tube amp be my first in the next week or so, it's going to be my first tube amp and i was wondering how often i need to change the tubes i know it will depend on how much i play but can some give me a rough guideline as to how often i should change them.

A few years (most people say 2) if used a lot.
But, IMO, change when they sound like they need changing (bad tone, etc).

No need to change them regularly, just when they break or just aren't producing good tone anymore.

my fender hotrod deluxe went for 5 years before i changed the tubes.
