Most people will most likely say no, due to it being a cheap modeling amp. If I were you, Id check out the Roland Cube instead. I havent played that amp before, so I could be mistaken, and it may be great for metal however.

Oh lord no. You can't stoop much lower than Behringer. I'd even recommend a Spider over that.

That won't do metal, but out of all of the modelling amps a the vox ad vt is probably the best for the price. If you are on a budget get a vox ad30vt-xl it was made for metal.
