musiciansfriend.com sells it for $2149, while German online stores like Thomann, Musik Schmidt and Musik Produktiv sell it from 1559€ to as low as 1492€. I know if you convert the price from dollars to euros it mounts up to 1458€ but that's not how is usually works.

In most cases you just change the $ to € and the price stays pretty much the same. Lower end Martins are priced this way. The D-28 is cheaper than a D-18, which to me seems backwards.

The reason I'm bringing this up is because Martin is an American brand, so it has to be imported to Europe and the D-28 is pretty much their flagship model which has been sold for who knows how long.

well, according to the exchange rate that's how it should be priced...
it's a good thing that it's priced fairly...
unlike some companies out there...

Yes it is a good thing, but it's the only Martin out there that's priced like this.

D-15 $949 / 888€
000-15 $949 / 879€
000-15S $1249 / 1355€
D-16GT $999 / 959€
D-18 $1899 / 1599€
D-28 $2149 / 1492€
000-28 $2249 / 2299€
D-35 $2199 / 1899€

According to the current exchange rate, 1458 Euros is 2156 US Dollars. So it isn't really any cheaper. I can't say why the D-28 is the only model that isn't marked up a ton though. That is quite odd.

^ Yes I know it's not technically any cheaper but still.. The 000-28 model is 800€ more than the dread

I understand what you're saying. Regardless of exchange rates, guitars, and other things, sometimes cost the roughly same amount of Euros as they do Dollars in America.

And that is very strange that the D 28 is the only one that doesn't

^ And I understand why. In a way the euro is basically just as valuable as the dollar meaning that a 100€ to me is the same as $100 to you. So the D-28 should be around 1800€ but for some odd reason it isn't.

Then there are guitars like the LTD EC-1000 which is $839 in America and 999€ in Europe which f*cks us over big time.

That's why whenever I get Canadian change in the shops, I keep it. I have about $300 Canadian after a lifetime of this. Can't wait until our economy collapses and I can cash it in as a rich-ass refugee.
Sincerely, Chad.
