Hey.

I just bought a 36 coupe today. When I play on the rhythm channel I can hear a slight crackling noise in the background. it's not really noticeable unless I hit one note and stop right away. I read somewhere that this is common in all of the coupes and that it is caused by the low quality tubes. This is my first tube amp so I don't really know where to start when buying new tubes. I know that there are different types as in pre amp power amp and I know that my amp takes 12ax7 pre amp ad 6l6 power amp tubes. I was just wondering if someone knows what tubes sound good in this amp.

Edit: I was told to get jj's by my friend. thats what he uses in his 5150 and hesaid their awsome.
