i had an old ibanez ax model that had an AH4 in the bridge. i liked the gain out of it, and i got recommended a PAF Pro. i bought it and im building a guitar, i was wondering, will i get about the same amount of gain out of the paf pro?

im going to be using a blues junior (modified with high gain jjs, and a celestion greenback, which will be 25 watts instead of 50, which should give me a little more breakup), and attempting at an angus young/eric clapton tone.

thanks.

i have the PAF Pro and it is awesome very clean and can get heavy with the right amp.

the ibanez pup is not all that good.

well i got the gain i wanted through a blues junior.

and have you played THAT pup?

do you think the PAF could drive the amp the way the ibanez did?
