I don't know off hand, but nice choice in music!

If you don't get much help here, maybe someone in Blues and Jazz would know.

Yeah, good choice in music.
Sadly, i'm more of an Albert fan, so I can't be precise. But, a fender twin reverb should get those great clean tones of that era of blues. Not necessarily Freddie's, but it should get a wide range of blues tones.

Yeah, I was thinking some sort of Fender tube amp would be the default choice, but I can't say which one.

Oh yeah, forgot about tweeds.
But either way, some kind of twin would be a good idea.

Surely a Fender anyway...Almost any old Fender tube amp would do, a lot of his tone came from using a hollwbody guitar. Actually was the Fender Vibroking supposed to be close to his tone?

Insert sound clip of Homer Simpson, DOUGH!

I prefer Albert and Freddie to Kerry any day. But that's just me. Custom Vibrolux Reverb anyone? Anyone? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?

It's actually spelled "DO'H!"
I think it's safe to assume most old fenders could probably do the job.

And I had to google Bueller for spelling! Yes, a good fender will get you there, no doubt.

Well my first guess would have been Fender(something like a Bassman, I think Buddy Guy also uses them), too. But I was wondering because his tone has this raw but still clean sound.
In this video his tone is rather clean but sill raw: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aimj-mTeFKA
And in this vid his tone is actually pretty overdriven and i think there's some kind of fender in the background but i don't know what it is. I could imagine he was using some kind of Overdrive in this vid because I can't really imagine that this Fender amp would naturally break up like that.

edit: Fender Super Reverb maybe?

As you can see, it looks like a 4x10 Fender combo amp. Maybe a super reverb?

If you want to get close to his tone, get a vintage blackface Fender amp and crank it. But remember, he's also using an es-345, which has a very distinctive sound, due to the vari-tone control.
