hey guys

i have a gibson les paul studio, and when ever im usin it in the practice studio, it squeels something awful when im either playin nothing or even hold the strings.

i have a mim fat strat and have used it in the same studio with the same gear and i dont have any problems with that.

anyone have any clue what the beef is with this and how it can be fixed?

cheers

The pickups in your Les Paul are microphonic; they either need to be replaced wholesale or potted somehow. Seeing as how you're in the UK I'd say replace them with BKPs.
