What do you think about finished fretboards? I ask because I'm about to get this Warmoth strat and was wondering what differences would be made if I put the clear finishy thing on the fretboard. And also...what's the technical name for that? So if I get it done...I don't sound like a complete moron when asking the tech to do it haha

It's just called a clear coat really. There's a few materials you can do that with, I like nitrocellulose lacquer the most. I like coating, when your finger oils wear away the coating on a maple neck and contact the fretboard wood, it gives it that worn browning look, which I love.
