When you're moving to another string, what do you do when there's a slide but no note to slide from?

Like for example:

------------/15--12
-6-8-12----------
--------------------
----------------
-----------------
#2
slide from any note on the same string to the note written.

get what i mean?
sex, drugs, and rock and roll have turned into aids, needles, and techno..
#3
It usually just starts from whatever fret is easiest to reach in a particular position.
#4
Yeah, just slide up to the fret- you have to use your own ear a bit, just do whatever sounds right or is reasonable to play
......... because here at mcdonald's our special ingredient is our people...
#5
It means to slide up from anywhere, generally I'd think an open string.
Listen to the song to understand the slide is the easiest way I'd imagine.
#6
Slide into the note from any lower fret on the same string (not an open string). Could be one fret or a dozen. I think most important is to land on the target note with the right timing.
