"lol wut? a gastr del sol thread? omgz!"

yes. they are amazing and criminally overlooked. 'camofleur' and 'upgrade & afterlife' are two very good albums. basically, they did exactly what all the pitchfork darlings are doing today, except they did it much better (and ten years earlier). jim o'rourke and david grubbs really knew how to make some decent music together. surely i'm not the only one who thinks so?

some kind of myspace

Listening to them now.

I was on Allmusic, and was just randomly searching through bands and genres, and I came across them.

Listening to "Camofleur" now. Pretty amazing stuff. Definitely a class act.

Finished "Camofluer". Definitely a great album.

I'll have to delve into their disco more in the future.

I heard them on Last.fm and really enjoyed it. They are now on my long list of bands to check out in more depth.

Camofleur has been a favorite of mine for the last ten years, furious that there isn't a tab for 'Black Horse' on here.
