I guess I posted this wrong the first time, and it should be in this section of the forum...

Our lead guitarplayer has sent me some new ideas for songs to work and practice on. The point is that I'm terrible in figuring out riffs by ear, so I wonder if somebody here is willing to help me out and tab the riffs for me if I put the mp3's up online.

If so, thanks in advance for helping me out. It's only a few bits and pieces of riffs, not whole songs.

(He's on holiday now so I am not able to ask him.)

Greetingz,

I think there are a lot of people willing to help but you've got to put those mp3's online before we can do anything.

Sorry for the late response but i've tabbed out the first song you posted.
I am sure it's not 100% accurate but it gives you an idea of what is played.
There are basically 3 parts and I've labelled them but not put them in correct playing order.
About the pinch harmonics: I don't know much about the theory behind them so I just guessed a string and fret. I've written PH above them. b is bend and / is slide.

anyone else for song 2?

{Edit: I noticed the lines aren't aligned properly anymore but that should not be a problem}

Thanks Vangogh161, but it wasn't necessary anymore. Our lead guitarist is back from his holiday and is learning me the riffs.

About the pinch harmonics, apparently he does this sound with his tumb. By hitting the string first and then sort of "muting" it with his thumb at the same time.

We worked out a combination of my rhythm part and a lot of lead licks on this riff which works great. If we can record it with the band, I will post it online.

I am curious to know if what I tabbed out is even close to what he played? I'm trying to improve my 'ear to tab translation' skill a bit

About the PH, I know how to make them but not where to get the sound you want.

If you record those songs, put them online definately. I liked the sound of the riffs so the song should me good to.

Hi Vangogh161! Sorry about the late answer, but what you tabbed is pretty close. However I forgot to mention that we tune our guitars in D, so it is played higher on the neck.

Thank you that you like the sound of the riffs, we are writing more stoner riffs for new songs and will be doing our first gig in about a month.

We will try to get it recorded with the mixingboard, because we can't record it ourselves at the moment. Il hope we'll get some good sound quality!

If so, we will post them on the web.
