If I find that I get a B in Statistics (I find out tomorrow) my dad promised me a new guitar, I've pick two that I like in the price range I'm looking at (£150-200)
Whick one does the wise community here think is teh best?

Peavey Rotor EX
ESP LTD EX 50

I play metal and like explorers, but if you have any better suggestions, suggest please lol.

Thanks in advance

Maybe you should have asked tommorow. No point getting your hopes up JUST yet.

But I'd get the LTD.

I know I've failed, just wanted to know which one I should get if I get lucky

Peavey Rotor EX, by a long shot. Low end LTD's are bad for what you pay imo.

I really don't like low end Ltd guitars much. The Peavey is decent for the money but a FAR better bet would be this:

Cort make guitars for Ibanez and a few others and they really are very good indeed. I suggested a kid I teach buy one of these and it really is absolutely incredible value for money. At that price point I'd say it is easily the best you can get.
Gibson Les Paul Studio with Catswhiskers pickups
PRS SE 'Floyd' Custom 24 with Creamery pickups
Fender Standard Stratocaster with DiMarzio pickups
Takamine GN30

It may just be me but how could anyone want a guitar that looks like that!! Seriously, I really don't rate BC Rich at all and certainly the low end ones are nothing to write home about. The Cort X6 I mentioned is £50 cheaper and is seriously, ten times the guitar.

Low end LTDs are awfull for what you pay, played a £250 pointy thing, sounded and felt like a £50 guitar.

If you offer to pay the difference would be a good idea, or have a look around on ebay, that what i did for doing my exams, got an old tele for £200 and I paid for £30 off it.

Lucky, I only got £5 for every GCSE over C

I did my SATs this year, and was gonna get a Fender if I got straight 7s. But they fucked up the marking so I got the Fender anyways!
