some alternative music (similar to a bloc party/interpol indie rock-ish clean sound) I'd also like to be able to play some blues on it. I'd prefer a 1x12 all-tube and my budget it $600 USD. Any suggestions?

A lot of pros do that: if they play a wrong note, they'll hit it again to make it look as if it's intentional. It's called "jazz", aparently.

classic 30 sounds nice, but the HRD is really more amp than i need/want. keep the suggestions coming!

C30 nails what you want, the HRD is great if you want an american voiced amp, it's only 10 watts more than the C30 and they're about the same size.

The AC15 won't work for you very well since it'll be hard to get cleans that are loud enough to be heard over a drummer.
I don't give a shit if you listen to me or not
