What metal bands have you guys seen live that are heavier in concert rather than on CD?
#2
Abaddon Incarnate... they somehow managed to make ultra-aggressive Grindcore even heavier live, insane.

0-0-0-13-0-0-0-0-13 or something like that alalalala but It;s so heavy and off time and awesome and you could not f**k anyone to it.

Priest, for sure. Stuff like Hell Bent for Leather was much heavier live. Awesome.
Lost interest.
#4
Warbringer sounds much better live.
And Cannibal Corpse and Goatwh*re. When I go to their shows it's so full of energy you just wanna crash into someone in the pit.

Slayer also sounds incredibly heavier live as well.

"Ultimate"-Guitar is the worst website on the internet. Polluted with unintelligent mongoloids.

Opeth are much heavier live. Much.

Death as well, but not super heavier. I think Chuck scooped his mids a tiny bit more.

Slayer, easily. They are monstrous(ly heavy) live.

Candlemass.

And Electric Wizard. Yes, it is possible for them to be even heavier than on record.

Suicide Silence, mainly due to the insane amount of bass put out by the 7 strings, and the intensity of the vocalist screaming live instead of on a CD.
Gear:
Ibanez RG7321 Seven String
Epiphone Iommi Signature SG
Digitech Scott Ian Black 13
VOX Valvetronix AD100VTH

Skeletonwitch sounded heavy as **** live, but on the cd the guitars tone sounded like a modern power metal band.

Ive seen videos and I thought those were intense. I can only imagine them live would be insane.

Pretty much any 80s band who couldn't afford decent album production will sound much better live.

Compare Exodus' first album to the sound you'll hear them live with now... Oooff.

Probably true, but all the accounts I've heard also make them out to be 100x more boring live, as well. I'd still like to see them for the experience, though.

Celtic Frost is heavier live than on their older records. Not necessarily better, however.

I thought I was going to die during Backbone, it was ungodly.

Behemoth were heavier, but not by much, Megadeth were pretty much exactly the same, JFAC was waay heavier, Beneath the Massacre were about 10000x heavier live, and Opeth were much heavier.

lots more that I can't remember exactly

The vocalist is just a tad poo, thats what's held me back from buying anything

...aaaaand he seems to bum off the fact he plays a fretless bass

...aaaaaand he is of a relatively slim build but still has manboobs *MIND BOGGLES*

I thought I was the only one who noticed. Their drummer's pedals broke halfway through one of the songs too, oh man they were not happy.
