the body of the guitar isnt as thick as before and now the neck sticks out too much. What do i do? Do i sand down the neck so that it wouldn't be to high for the body?

TS, don't sand the neck to compensate. All you would have left over is an expensive pile of fire wood.

Sanding 'too much' is pretty hard considering how little sanding really takes off (thickness wise). I mean, I could be mistaken here, but if you think you did take too much off, you can counterbalance it by adding more clear coats/primer coats/whatever coats. Believe me, you didn't ruin your guitar.
