Would anyone recommend tuning down to C standard (C F A# D# G C)
for a song in the key of E minor and G major?
Since I'm writing a song for battle of the bands, thats coming up in several months but I don't know if I should tune down to C standard the song is gonna me a metal song.
so I think tuning down will make us sound different from the other bands since most of them are gonna be in standard or maybe even Eb so I think if i tune down lower our band would stand out more.

It may slightly put you out there a little more.. maybe a"heavier" sound, but most people dont know the difference in tunings, mostly the untrained ear/ non-musicians.
