Will a 200W head + 250W cabinet put out more volume then a 200W combo?

The cab + head is 50$ more then the combo amp, so im wondering if i should just spend the extra 50 and buy the head+cab.

What do you think?

Also, what does Ground Lift do?

EDIT: they are bass amps

Isn't it odd, that Iron Man is a superhero, whereas "iron, woman!" is a command?

you mean bass amp right?
1. You're surfing the internet.
2. You're browsing through the UG forums.
3. You're reading now.
5. You didn't notice that there was no #4.
6. You just checked it.
7. Now you're having a lil smile.

they are made by Acoustic and are bass amps, not guitar amps sorry

There won't be a very discernable difference, but your sound will have more bass, more spread and more power.

Loudness is not determined by wattage. AFAIK, the more air you push, the more sound you get, the louder it sounds. A 200w bass amp pushing an 8x10 is damned loud.

What speaker config is the cab/head and combo? This is what amkes the most difference!

Well 1x15 ain't too bad. However if you get the head, you could get a 4x10 later on (actually you could to the combo too).

yeah these will be exactly the same. i personally dig the head/cab, but you will achieve the same results, so long as the combo has an ext out for further cab growth.

get the cab and head, its the same output as the combo, plus the head u can add cabs and what not, i love stacks over combos

and it gives a bigger sound.. well maybe not this, but 2 412's do
