I have just discovered that Buddy Guy's younger brother, Phil, passed away two days ago from pancreatic cancer.
I searched, and I couldn't find a thread dedicated to him here.

Anyways, I am quite upset. I really enjoyed his music, and I have been influenced by him in the short time that I've listened to him.

Here is the news of his death on his website: http://www.philguynothrmule.com/

RIP, Phil.

Heaven done called another blues stringer back home.
Call me Wes.

I swear to God the minute I read "Phil" I thought the big guy from Fresh Prince died.

Still, R.I.P.

Even though I never really heard of the guy, he's obviously influenced someone and that's as good enough of a reason to remember him.

Yeah, Phil wasn't nearly as popular as Buddy, but he was still a great player.

I first thought Dr. Phil.

Then I thought Phil from Viva La Bam.

I've never heard of this Phil. RIP, though.

Hmm.. I thought Phil was more popular than this thread seems to show.
Anyways, i'm curious why the site admin released the funeral info to the public. That's gonna be crowded.
Call me Wes.
