I agree on the new amp. Your guitar actually is pretty good.

As far as amps go, look at the Peavey Valveking, Bugera amps, or B-52 amps. Those seem like the starting points for people getting a first tube amp.

If your wantin a new guitar just for something different you should check out the mexican strats, they cost around 400 new but you can find used ones on craiglist for around 300 usually. It would be a nice change from your les paul
