Does your hair recover from Traction alopecia?

(Traction alopecia is a form of alopecia, or gradual hair loss, caused primarily by pulling force being applied to the hair. This commonly results from the sufferer frequently wearing his or her hair in a particularly tight ponytail, pigtails, or braids. From the wikipedia )

Cos I think I'm getting a bit of that from tying my hair back quite often.

... Anyone got any tips on stopping hair thinning anyways?
Cos my hair's been thinning quite badly for the past like 3 months...

I don't think it recovers. My uncle's friend grew out his ponytail and used to tie it back tightly. Suffering from traction alopecia, his hair never grew back and he went bald.
