Hi,

Can anyone who owns a vox valvetronix please tell me what the toggle marked "volume" actually does apart from obviously making the amp louder/quiter. There are technically 4 volume controls on these amps the "master" the "volume" the power selector and the "gain".
I normally play with full gain and master and the elusive "volume" at half because at full it seems to dampen the sound...
Could anybody please tell me why this is?

Thanks

mine just seems to give it more balls and guts. i can get heavier palm mutes with it up, rather than down and it gives me a bit more distortion. cant tell you exactly what it does but i do have a vox ad30vt so...
