I'm learning a piece of sheet music and above a F chord there is "1/2 CI". Anyone know what that means if anything? Never seen it before and I'm new to reading music.

was it a score for a particular instrument? sounds like some kind of instrument-specific instruction

Its a classical guitar piece I got out of a book. I figured it had to mean something but I didn't know if it applied to the way I should play that chord.

It means half-barred. The notes of F Major are F, A, and C. Barre those notes in the score where it says that. It's normally used to indicate a section that's just played easier that way.
