I just got back from Guitar Center in the search of a multi effect processor. I checked out the Line 6 POD XT Live and the Digitech RP 500. I cannot make a decision between the two.

I'm a guitarist that is joining a band and plan on doing some local gigs. I need a pedalboard with good distortion, effects, etc. I am also looking for an acoustic simulator. (Is there such a thing as a 12 string acoustic simulator, just asking?)

I just had a birthday and I can afford anything under $400.

So, I would like to hear your opinion on what is the best multi effect processor/ what would you recommend (Under $400.)

Thanks.

My Advice... GET A NEW AMP
A modeller will sound like crap with your current amplifier
Also, listen man, these multi-fx boards are basically gimmicks because they have all these effects which sound mediocre. I would rather have single outstanding boxes than one big box which does alot of stuff crappy.

Sell your MG, you should be able to get about 300 for that
Than you can combine that with the 400 you have to get a good tube amplifier
