I never played bass, but I have played guitar. Is it more difficult to control the strings on a bass than a guitar? What I mean is is it harder to press down on them for different notes?

Urm. The only difficulty I get is when tapping (the highest note doesn't really ring out [but I don't tap very often]). People will say that you need more strength in your fretting hand for bass than you do for guitar.

Bass is much more of a strength instrument than guitar. Though it isn't really that hard to adjust your fretting technique accordingly.

i think it is a little harder to fret a bass, but its not something hard if youve played guitar for awhile. Altho it does seem like my wrist cramps up faster than if i play guitar.

Quite a bit harder, when I grab my friends guitar I do not even feel the push of the guitar strings.
