My question is why is it that Fenders never have a tone control for there bridge humbuckers, but Gibson guitars always do. The situation Im switching out the single coil neck and bridge pickups on my strat, and replacing them with humbuckers. Im leaving the middle single coil in so that there isnt a blank spot in my pickguard and so I dont have to buy a new one. Im going to switch out the old 250k tone pot with 500k to better suit the humbucker, and this is where my question arises, why is it that Fenders never have a tone control for there bridge humbuckers, but Gibson guitars usually do.
