I personally don't find that it gets as heavy.

Its a solid amp for blues, some jazz, and rock though.

I'm going by the clips I've heard and a google search. Its not much but its the closest one can get without playing one.

Edit:
Honestly though man, if you are set on Soldano, get the Avenger. Its just a new Hot Rod 50, and its the SLO gain channel without a clean channel or effects loop

I most certainly will not get as dirty as the SLO/Avenger/Decatone will, but it might still get dirty enough depending upon your needs. The dirtier Soldano's have all the gain I'll ever need with the knob no farther than 6. The really fantastic quality to the Lucky 13 is the clean channel though. The clean is, in my opinion, one of the finest available anywhere. Most Lucky 13 buyers aren't buying it for the dirty channel.
