Hi, I'm having a problem doing barre chords are the higher frets. for example, if I'm trying to play;

---------
---------
---13--
---14--
---14--
---12--

I find that I'm always muting the 13th fret and its nearly impossible to get the 2 14th's frets to ring while not muting the 13th. Any tips? It might be possible to use 2 fingers to fret each string individually but since they're so small I can only barre the 5th and 4th strings.

Thanks

move your thumb toward the middle of the neck and practice. you can't hold the guitar like a baseball grip when you want to barre

Yeah, you need to concentrate on keeping your thumb as in the middle of the neck as possible, making the stretch one helluva lot easier

If you are not strumming all 6 strings, then play it with this fingering.
