I don't know about the 200, but the T700 has great pickups and a neck-thru construction. I believe it's kinda heavy though. I like the reverse headstock, but that's a matter of opinion.

imo ic200/300/400>ICT700
when i played the 700 it felt to much like all of ibanez's other guitars, but when i first played the 400 I felt like i was in heaven. Then my local guitar center got a used 300 in and was a beauty as well. And so what if it has the dimarzio pups? just get your own...

yeah I agree with Ghold

ic-200/300/400>ICT700

when they made the 700 its almost like they just quit the normal classic iceman.

Luckily I got my hands on a 300.

If your debating ICT or 200, get the 200 and put on some nice pups.

Ok cool thanks guys. I was asking this because I've been thinking about getting an Iceman and when I went to my local Sam Ash they had a used IC-200 and a new ICT-700 so I just wanted to learn a little bit more about them.

What's the main difference in "feel" between the 2/3/400's and the 700 anyway? The neck? The action?

I was at Sam Ash last night and the ICT-700 is a hell of a lot heavier than the IC-200

You CAN play anything with anything....but some guitars sound right for some things, and not for others. Single coils sound retarded for metal, though those who are apeshit about harpsichord probably beg to differ.

I have an IC400 and it isn't heavy at all. In fact, its surprising how light it is for the size.

It is kinda top-heavy though. Unless you have a leather strap, it tends to tip over towards the head.

The volume pot for the neck pickup on mine has something wrong with it. When you turn it, it crackles and buzzes. Occasionally the it goes silent too, but comes back if you jiggle it a little.

I'm thinking of getting rid of it and getting another RG or something.
