What kind of amp should I get that would be good for practice and small gigging? I was hoping to get some kind of Line 6.

Well, his profile says he likes to play 'any kind of rock', but that's not much of a help without a budget.

but we still need to know two things...

What kind of music will you play the most?

...and....

Do you want to buy it used or new? Because that makes a LOT of a difference in selection.

I will mostly play classic rock/metal, and I will buy used.

Hey guys in the last 3 weeks I ****ed all the girls in this picture, what do you think?

Classic rock and metal... hm, if you go used you might be able to get a Peavey Classic 30 - that would accomplish classic rock, but not metal unless you crank it.

Also if you go used you could probably find a Peavey Valveking 112, maybe even with an already-swapped speaker - and then you could buy an overdrive pedal.

He said practice and SMALL GIGGING, though.

I'm not too sure a 30W SS amp can hold it's own on stage... well, without a PA that is....

I'd recommend a VK... but you should FIRST go to your local store and try out everything in your price range... including the ValveKing.
